Donation FAQs

In 2009 there were 72 donations averaging $46.
(If you do out the math that's $3366.)

In 2010 there were 162 donations
(from 3000 members) averaging $58.

In 2011, as of November 20, there have been 137 donations.

It costs $100 an issue to put out the 77% Weekly.
The podcasts are a whole other cost.
And, then there is hosting the website...

Here's an approximate breakdown per issue:
$75 for the editor to take what I write and make it purdy
$10 for the woman to format and schedule it to be sent as a nice e-mail newsletter
$12.70 for the company that sends out the e-mails ($55/mo)
$13.80 for web-site hosting and internet access ($60/mo)

THIS INCLUDES NO MONEY TO RABBI BRIAN (he teaches high school math)
OR ANYONE ON THE BOARD

Everytime a solicatation e-mail goes out
(even for as nice as I think they tell people they don't need to contribute) members unsubscribe in droves.

There's more I want to do:
I'd like to redo the website so that it can be interactive. I'd like to revamp the prayerlist page so non-facebook people can access it. I'd like to buy some software that would make the podcasts easier to put together. I'd like to work on some more books. I'd like to get Canadian tax-exempt status. I'd like to find someone who can get ROTB on Linda Trippet's show Speaking of Faith; I know, this one doesn't cost any money, but I think it would be a great fit and thought it would be good to list here. I'd like to pay the nice people at Constant Contact who send out the newsletters for image hosting to make putting the newsletter easier to do. I'd like to go back to giving out ROTB awards to people doing religion-outside-the-box and be able to send them a token something other than appreciation. And more...

Please consider giving.
(And, even better, give.)

A note to my Canadian Friends:

ROTB is tax-exempt in the US
and in Canada against US income.

If you can help
make ROTB tax-exempt in Canada,
please let me know.

I don't know a lot about the Canadian
tax-exempt status process
but I know it cost a lot to set it up in the USA.
