Gratitude Service & Dinner

Friday, November 2, 2007
6pm - 9 pm.

Before your reflection on thanksgiving later in the month, come to a non denominational service with an 'as-much-as-you-care-to' discussion about gratitude followed by community pot-luck dinner.

6-7:30pm - service:

We will look at what keeps us from feeling thankful, how we might go about having more thanks in our lives, and what the costs of not having gratitude are.

7:30-9:00 - meal:

Bring a yummy side dish and all the rest will be provided... Please, though, RSVP so I can get a head count!

Reaching the Jewish, Spiritual-But-Not-Religious Crowd.

Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 · Workshop Series D: Thursday, 3:45 - 5:15 PM.

If you are one of the 5,000+ people planning on attending the Union of Reform Judaism's biennial in San Diego, you can sign-up to attend Rabbi Brian's workshop: "Reaching the Jewish, Spiritual-But-Not-Religious Crowd."

Here's the summary from the conference material...

Rabbi Brian Zachary Mayer will lead workshop attendees inside the minds of those who consider themselves "spiritual but not religious."  This interactive, hands-on workshop will show you how those seeking spirituality can feel at home in a modern, liberal synagogue.  No Hebrew or theology required.

I am very excited and honored to have been invited to speak to this group.
